Born in a real stockroom, not in a slide deck.
Vintaflip started as a spreadsheet to keep track of 400 DVDs bought in a house clearance. The spreadsheet stopped being enough: that is where the tool came from.
The problem we know well
Anyone who buys and resells second-hand works on margins that get lost in the details: a fee you forgot, shipping you underestimated, a lot you paid too much for, an item sitting untouched for eight months. General-purpose business software does not know what a lot is, and spreadsheets do not tell you what an item is worth.
Vintaflip does one thing: it holds the reseller's cycle together — cost, market price, sale, expenses, numbers — and it does it in the language of people who flip, not that of industrial accounting.

We are a small group, based in Italy. The people writing the code are the same ones buying at flea markets: features come from problems we have had ourselves.
