Vintaflip in general

What is Vintaflip?

Vintaflip is a management app for people who buy and resell second-hand and vintage items — what is commonly called flipping. It tracks inventory item by item, works out the net profit of every sale after cost and fees, prices items with AI based on real sold listings, and watches marketplaces with bots that flag under-priced deals. It runs in the browser and as native apps for Android and iOS.

Who is Vintaflip for?

Vintaflip is for people who resell second-hand regularly: those who buy at flea markets and house clearances, people flipping on Vinted or eBay, small second-hand shops, and anyone selling the same item across several channels. It suits both hobby sellers and full-time ones: the Free plan covers up to 30 items in stock, while paid plans remove the limits and add photos, advanced statistics and integrations.

What devices does Vintaflip work on?

Vintaflip has three clients sharing the same account and the same data: the web app, usable from any desktop or mobile browser, the Android app and the iOS app. The AI credit balance is a single pool shared across all three, so you can scan an item on your phone at a flea market and find it on your computer at home.

Do I need to be a registered business to use Vintaflip?

No, Vintaflip does not require a VAT number or business registration. It is a management tool, not a fiscal register: anyone can use it to keep track of their purchases, expenses and sales. Whether and when to register a business depends on your volume and on your country’s rules — that is a question for an accountant, not for a piece of software.

Can I use Vintaflip if I only sell in person, at markets?

Yes. You define your own sales channels, so “flea market” or “shop” works exactly like Vinted or eBay: you record purchases, expenses and sales the same way, and the statistics compare physical channels with online ones. The AI Pricer stays useful too, because it tells you what an item is worth before you buy it, regardless of where you resell it.

Plans, pricing and credits

How much does Vintaflip cost?

Vintaflip has three plans: Free at €0, Premium at €4.99 per month or €49.90 per year, and Pro at €14.99 per month or €149 per year. The subscription pays for the tool; the AI Pricer and the bots run on credits, bought separately and consumed only when you use them, so people who don’t use them don’t pay for them.

What does the Vintaflip Free plan include?

The Free plan is free with no expiry and asks for no credit card. It includes up to 30 items in stock, 5 categories, 3 sales channels, basic statistics, the credit-based AI Pricer and 1,000 AI credits as a signup gift. It does not include product photos, Excel and CSV export, barcode scanning or advanced statistics.

Is there a free trial of Premium?

Yes: when you register, your account starts with Premium already active for 7 days, with no payment method required. When it ends, if you have not subscribed, the account moves to the Free plan by itself and you are charged nothing. The Free plan then stays free forever.

What are AI credits and how much do they cost?

Credits are the currency for operations that consume external resources. One AI Pricer scan costs 10 credits; one bot run costs 1 credit per source on eBay and Subito, and 2 credits on Vinted, Wallapop and Facebook Marketplace. Credits are bought in packs, from 500 credits for €1 up to 125,000 credits for €100, and the bigger the pack the cheaper each credit. Premium includes 2,000 credits a month and Pro 8,000, on top of any you buy.

Do Vintaflip credits expire?

Credits you buy do not expire. Credits included in a subscription are topped up at every renewal and accumulate up to a ceiling of twice the monthly grant — 4,000 credits for Premium and 16,000 for Pro — so they don’t pile up indefinitely unused. The balance is a single pool shared across web, Android and iOS.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Without credits the AI Pricer stops running new scans and the bots pause, but you lose nothing: inventory, sales, statistics and the searches you configured all stay in place, and the bots restart on their own as soon as you top up. Before the balance runs out you get a warning notification, so you can top up before the searches stop.

How do I cancel my subscription, and what happens to my data?

You can cancel at any time, with no minimum term, and the subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. After that the account returns to the Free plan: nothing is deleted and the items already in your inventory stay visible and editable, but Premium features switch off and, if you hold more than 30 items, you cannot add new ones until you go back under the limit or resubscribe.

AI Pricer: what second-hand is worth

How does Vintaflip know what a second-hand item is worth?

The AI Pricer starts from the prices similar items actually sold for, not from the prices asked in listings that are still open. It recognises the item from a photo, derives a search query, looks for matching sold listings and returns the minimum, median and maximum price plus a suggested starting price. The median of sold listings is the number that matters: an open listing at €200 does not tell you what an item is worth, only what its seller hopes to get.

How much does an AI Pricer estimate cost, and do I need a subscription?

One scan costs 10 credits and works on any plan, Free included: you just need credits, and you get 1,000 at signup — a hundred scans. Photo analysis therefore does not require a subscription. The text search of real sold listings, the one without a photo where you type what to look for, is reserved for the Premium and Pro plans.

How accurate is the AI Pricer estimate?

It depends on how many comparable sold listings it finds. If there are few, Vintaflip says so and marks the estimate as low-confidence rather than pretending otherwise — and in that case the scan is not charged. It works best on identifiable items with an active second-hand market, such as branded clothing, electronics, records, books, video games and spare parts, and worst on unique or handmade pieces, for which comparisons simply do not exist.

What if the AI misidentifies the item?

You can correct the suggested title and re-run the search on sold listings with your own words: recognition is a starting point, not a verdict. Blurry photos, items shot from far away and pieces with no visible branding are the cases where stepping in by hand pays off most.

Are my photos used to train AI models?

No. The images you upload serve the single estimate you asked for and stay in your inventory, where you can delete them whenever you want. They are not used to train models, nor passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

Deal-finding bots

What does a Vintaflip bot do?

A bot is a saved search that runs by itself at regular intervals across second-hand marketplaces and alerts you when something matching your criteria appears. It serves the buying side of flipping: instead of refreshing the same searches ten times a day, you leave them to the bot, which sends a push notification when it finds a new item. From the Premium plan up it also flags actual deals, meaning items priced below the median of real sold listings.

Which marketplaces do the bots cover?

Vintaflip bots watch five sources: Vinted, eBay, Subito, Wallapop and Facebook Marketplace. Each search can use one or several together, and results arrive in a single feed where items you have already seen do not reappear. The credit cost differs by source, because some require more expensive network infrastructure than others.

How much does it cost to keep a bot running?

A bot only costs credits when it runs, and each run costs the sum of its sources: 1 credit for eBay and Subito, 2 for Vinted, Wallapop and Facebook Marketplace. You choose the interval, from 5 minutes up to once a day, with 30 minutes as the default: lengthening the interval is the simplest way to make credits last. There is no fixed fee for bots.

How many bots can I run on Vintaflip?

Bots have no plan-based quota: they run on credits for everyone, Free included. The only limit is an anti-abuse ceiling of 20 simultaneously active bots per account; paused searches do not count. In practice the real limit is your credit balance, since it is the runs that consume it.

Is using Vintaflip bots legal? Could I get banned from a marketplace?

The bots only read public listings — the ones you would see yourself by opening the site — and they do not post, do not message sellers and do not buy on your behalf: you never connect your marketplace account and no credentials are involved. The intervals are designed not to burden the sites being watched. That said, every platform has its own terms of use and can change them: Vintaflip is not affiliated with any of them.

Inventory, lots and statistics

Can I import an inventory I already have into Vintaflip?

Yes, in two ways. You can upload a CSV or XLSX file — typically the spreadsheet you kept your accounts in before — and Vintaflip recognises the columns and creates the items. Or you can start from the URL of a listing already published on eBay, Vinted or Wallapop: Vintaflip pulls the listing data and creates the item, or updates the sales channels if that item is already in your inventory. Marketplace import is a Premium and Pro feature.

How do lots work in Vintaflip?

A purchase lot is when you buy several items for a single price — say 63 DVDs for €180. Vintaflip creates the individual items and splits the cost equally between them, €2.86 each in that example, so every sale has a cost attached and the statistics stay coherent. It also tells you how many items you need to sell to break even. There are sale lots too, for when you are the one selling several items together at a single price.

What statistics does Vintaflip show?

Basic statistics cover revenue, costs and net profit over time. The advanced ones, included from Premium, add the real margin channel by channel after fees, the average days to sell per category, cash and the capital still tied up in stock, the break-even point of lots and a list of items sitting unsold for too long. The figures reconcile by construction: revenue minus cost of goods sold minus fees gives profit, and what remains in stock is valued at cost.

Can I export my data from Vintaflip?

Yes. On the Premium and Pro plans you can export your inventory and sales to Excel (XLSX) and CSV at any time, without asking anyone. It is the most direct way to take your data with you, run your own analysis or hand it to your accountant.

Account, data and privacy

Does the data I enter in Vintaflip stay mine?

Yes. Your inventory, sales and expense data are yours: you can export them to Excel or CSV whenever you want and delete them whenever you want. They are stored on servers in the European Union, passwords are encrypted, and nothing is shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

How do I delete my Vintaflip account?

You can request deletion from your account settings, or from the dedicated public page if you cannot sign in. The account is deactivated immediately and any subscription is cancelled; the data is then permanently erased once the 90-day retention window elapses, which exists to allow for second thoughts and to meet accounting obligations.

Can several people work on the same account?

Not yet: today one account belongs to one person. Shared workspaces for teams and shops are on the public roadmap, where you can also see how far along they are and vote for the features you care about most.

Is Vintaflip affiliated with Vinted, eBay or the other marketplaces?

No. Vintaflip is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Vinted, eBay, Subito, Wallapop, Meta or the other companies mentioned on this site. Their names appear only to say which platforms Vintaflip can work with.
